Hon'ble Sh. Manoj Sinha

Sh. Manoj Sinha, the Hon'ble Chancellor of the Cluster University of Srinagar, is the second Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. A seasoned politician from Uttar Pradesh, he is a trained Civil Engineer with degrees of B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT (BHU), Varanasi. Sh. Manoj Sinha is a three-time Member of Parliament. He became MP for the first time in 1996 and then again in 1999 and 2014. During his third term in 2014, he was appointed as the Minister of State for Railways and in 2016, served as the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Communication, Government of India. Sh. Manoj Sinha took charge as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir on 7th August, 2020 at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar.

The Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS) has been created by pooling the resources of five existing colleges of Amar Singh College, Sri Pratap College, Govt. College for Women, M. A. Road, Govt. Degree College, Bemina and Govt. College of Education. These five constituent colleges of the Cluster University have adequate academic, physical and technical infrastructural facilities and more..

The Cluster University concept, first of its kind in India introduced by the Jammu and Kashmir Government in the year 2016. It is expected to give an impetus to academics and research in the state. more
