Powers of the University Council
- To institute Professorships, Associate Professorships, Assistant Professorships and other teaching posts.
- To abolish or suspend any teaching posts on the recommendations of the Academic Council.
- To manage and regulate finances, investments, property and administrative affairs.
- To withdraw any degree, diploma or certificate under the provisions of the Act.
Pursuant to the provisions of subsection (1) of Section 19 of the Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act, 2016, the University Council of Cluster University of Jammu is hereby reconstituted for the triennial period 2021–24.
