Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat is an Assistant Professor in the field of Chemistry, with research interests spanning physical chemistry, surfactant chemistry, micellization, and surfactant–biomolecule interactions. His research work focuses on understanding molecular interactions and physicochemical processes of relevance to contemporary chemical and interdisciplinary research. Dr. Bhat has an active research profile with 33 research publications in reputed international journals, with several of his contributions appearing in journals of high impact. His research experience reflects a strong interest in developing a deeper understanding of molecular-level interactions and their potential applications in chemistry and related areas. Dr. Bhat qualified the UGC-CSIR National Eligibility Test (NET) with an impressive All India Rank of 28, demonstrating his strong academic and research aptitude. In 2014, he was awarded the prestigious UGC-BSR (Basic Scientific Research) Fellowship by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, in recognition of his research potential. Bhat was also awarded the prestigious SERB-National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India. The project supports promising young researchers in pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of science and engineering. My current research interests include Gemini and conventional surfactants, micellar systems, drug solubilization and delivery, surfactant–protein interactions, molecular spectroscopy, micellization thermodynamics, and physicochemical aspects of self-assembled systems. Dr. Bhat is also actively involved in teaching, research supervision, curriculum development, and academic activities, with a commitment to fostering scientific curiosity, research innovation, and excellence in higher education.
